So autumn is vastly approaching and of course that means theres a brand new excuse to buy new makeup, new clothes and change up your look. Lovely. I did a little bit of shopping for some new makeup bits and bobs and thought I would do a classic everyday makeup look perfect for those autumn days. For more of a evening look add a bit more eyeliner and perhaps pop on a dark purple look if you’re feeling brave. So lets get started!
For all over the lid I applied Amazonian Bronze from my MUA Heaven & Earth Pallet along with a small amount of red from my Costal Scents pallet, this makes the brown a nice and warm colour. For a more intense look drag the colour to the inner corner as well, don’t worry we’ll add a highlight so it won’t be a smokey look like it may seem at the moment. Pop this colour on the outer part of your under eye.
Next take Honey from the Urban Decay Deluxe Pallet or a colour similar (a shimmer yellow gold) and place that on the inner part of the lid, avoiding the inner corner of the eye, we want to keep that brown that we just put there. Put this colour on the inner part of your under eye and blend into the brown we put there before. I also took the colour Shag from the same pallet and blended a small amount into the outer corner on my lid, any bronzed gold will work the same. Then take a darker brown, I used the colour Valley from my MUA pallet and put that in the outer corner and blended it out into the crease. I also brought this down very slightly under my eye.
Then get any highlighter you like, I mixed a few of the lighter colours from my Costal Scents Pallet. You want to make sure your highlight is either matte or has very little shimmer as we’ve already used a lot of shimmer around the eye we don’t want to go overboard! Next take a dark brown or black and a liner brush and place the colour along the lash line. You could along use a eyeliner depending on the look you’re going for. Then apply you’re mascara as usual.
Then I applied my eyelashes, I did a post on how I apply these so have a quick peak here. I also used the same ones as I did int the post. Again depending on the look you’re going for you can skip this step if you like.
Now lets add some colour to those cheeks! The ones on your face though, don’t get too excited. I lightly contoured my face using a Mac Blush in Harmony and then applied Mac Spring Sheen blush to the cheeked. Pinky blushes in the autumn/winter months gives your face a very natural glow.
Now to finish everything up, the lips! I mixed together two lipsticks to give a “your lips but better” look. I took Mac’s Vegas Volt and blotted this well so only a tint of the colour was still left. Then I took Mac’s Viva Glam V and put that all over my lips. To add to the autumn colours I picked up the nail polish Mustard by Barry M. This isn’t a colour I would usually pick but it turned out very nicely and is very on trend for this autumn.
Hope you enjoyed this look guys!
Lots of Love
